Charlie Ekizian

Founder of the WSRA (Wheelchair Sports and Recreation Association), Charlie Ekizian broke his neck in 1968 at the age of 21 in a diving accident. Mr. Ekizian's neck was broken at the fifth and sixth cervical vertebrae, making him a quadriplegic. Despite being told he would never use his arms or legs again, Mr. Ekizian was able to regain the use of his arms through an intense fitness regimen, which he still uses and promotes to this day.

Mr. Ekizian brings years of steadfastness and strength to Avantcare's Advisory Board, as well as expertise for our disabled clients.
